Design Inspiration for my Practical Card Holder.
Lots of people opt for gift cards for giving throughout the holiday season. Usually these cards are popped into an envelope along with a Christmas card as a way of presenting them to a friend or family member. Often the cards get set down somewhere and can easily be misplaced during the chaos of the the festivities.
Having a practical, purposeful card holder to place your gift card into makes it easier to keep track of so your precious gift cards aren’t lost. I just think they are such a great idea to have something attractive to present the gift card in and also to make it easier to keep track of.
The Practical Card Holder make a great gift and they are so quick and easy to whip up. After Christmas they can be used as a change purse or for keeping track of all your credit or bank cares.
This Practical Card Holder is made with the single crochet stitch as well as the half double crochet stitch There is a fold down flap that is held shut with a statement button. This means your cards won’t fall out while they are in your bag or purse.
This Free Crochet Card Holder Pattern is super beginner friendly. It is made in the round so there are no seams to sew up.
There are so many colour combinations you can use that will give it a different feel and vibe. I used cotton for mine, but you can use any worsted weights (4) yarn to make your Card Holder.
I hope you get the chance to make a few as they are a great gift and they are so quick and easy to whip up.
