Simple Striped Crochet Cat Hat Free Pattern
How to crochet a Simple Striped Cat Hat Crochet Pattern.
Here is a striped cat hat crochet pattern free on my blog and the pattern comes in three sizes.
This striped cat hat free crochet pattern is a simple pattern and perfect for beginners. There is the option for the folded up brim which is super trendy right now.
I made a red and white striped one for Christmas, but you can make it in any colour you like. It would look super cute in black and grey stripes, or with a mix of colours made from you yarn stash.
This striped cat hat pattern comes in three sizes so you can make a striped cat hat for all the cat loving toddlers, preschoolers, children, tweenies, teens or adults you may know.
This striped cat hat also looks great in a solid colour and can be made with worsted weight (4) yarn.
I love this cute and simple cat hat free pattern. It uses just the single crochet and double crochet stitches, so it is great as a beginner project.

Description of the Striped Cat Hat Crochet Pattern.
This pattern is the best way to make a simple striped cat hat.
Cat hats are very popular as they are fun hats to make and wear.
Recently I have been seeing lots of striped versions showing up out there and many that have the brim folded up. I love how trends take hold.
I have adapted my original cat hat pattern so it has the option to turn up the brim.
Also I show you how to add the stripes as you go up the hat. If it is the first time you have made anything with stripes this will be helpful. This hat is made from the bottom up and it is a simple tube made by crocheting in the round with double crochet, so there are no side seams. The only seam is across the top. It is a really beginner friendly pattern.
Here is a Striped Cat Hat made with hot pink and soft pink. I love it and you can see how great it looks with the brim turned up.

This striped cat hat has so much character that it will appeal to so many people of all ages. Its universal appeal is why I have written it up for sizes ranging from Toddler up to Adult. I haven’t tried it out for babies yet.
Accessories to add while wearing your Cat Hat.
If you like creating different winter accessories you might like to style your cat hat with some gloves or a scarf. This hat would work great with my Winter Time Fingerless Gloves as well as with the Cascade Scarf,

You will just need to add the extra rows indicated in the pattern instructions here if you want the rolled-up brim. So, here we go, good luck

Sc across the top opening, joining the stitches from the front to those on the back. Fasten off and weave in the ends.
The hat should fit snugly and when it is on, you can pinch the corners to make the ears more prominent.
