What does Crochet for a Cause mean? Do you ever wonder how you can put your love of crochet to good use? Are you looking for some projects that will make lives better for other?
Well Ashley from Edyth Blayn has come up with an incredible idea. She calls it Crochet for a Cause.
The goal with Crochet for a Cause is that by the end of summer, crocheters who have participated will have a collection of hats and/or scarves to donate to their local hospitals, homeless shelters, schools, pregnancy resource centres, etc and so on!
What a great idea!!
How Does Crochet For A Cause Work?
Starting this Monday (June 1) and every Monday following through to August 31st, two designers will be featuring their hat or scarf pattern The feature patterns will be beginner to easier-intermediate in difficulty, any size and gender target. You can make them with any soft cotton or acrylic yarn.
The weekly patterns will be available for free as a pdf download for the entire week they are featured (Sunday midnight – Sunday 11:59 PM EST). In order to download your free PDF pattern you must use the coupon code CROCHETCAUSE

What is Crochet for a Cause?
The Crochet for a Cause Project is a three month crochet pattern giveaway event. What makes it special is that Edyth Blayn has made the focus of this project, hats and scarves. There is a purpose to this Crochet for a Cause event. It is to build up a stock of hats and scarves that can be donated to any cause you support that helps out people in need.
In each week from June 1st to the end of August, there will be two feature hat or scarf patterns that will be available as a free PDF downloads for the week they are featured. The free pattern download is only available for the week of the pattern feature. But the next week two more patterns will be featured, SO come back often to check out what is new each week.
Note: Each weeks patterns are only free for that week.

Visit the Crochet For a Cause event page .
Find a pattern you love and click on the link in the pattern title.
This takes you to the designers page featuring the pattern. Scroll down until you find the DOWNLOAD THE PDF button. It looks like this.
Click on this button on the designers page. It will take you to the free pattern.
Click on the Buy This Pattern on the pattern page and enter the Ravelry coupon code CROCHETCAUSE
Download the pattern.
Return to the Crochet for a Cause page for more patterns by clicking on the RETURN TO CROCHET FOR A CAUSE button.
Remember the patterns are only free for the week they are featured.
