This long infinity super scarf is ageless and is definitely the best way to add colour to your outfit. It is made with the simple double crochet stitch so it is beginner friendly . I also have two versions for you so you can make it flat and sew the ends together, or make it in the round. If you have never made anything in the round this is a great pattern to get started on this technique.

Infinity Scarf pattern

This free infinity scarf pattern for the  “Take Me Outside” Infinity Scarf is simple to make, but oh so stylish. You can make it with your choice of bulky yarn, just look for the number (5) on the yarn label.
It is a beginner scarf pattern and is simple and easy to follow. It uses only the Double Crochet stitch. There are videos on youtube to help you learn this stitch if it is new to you. Using this bulky yarn and a larger hook means you can work this super scarf up quite quickly.

The Take Me Outside Infinity Scarf

There are two ways you can make this scarf.
The first pattern is for making the scarf in the round. If you are not comfortable with joining the foundation chain into a ring and working in the round, I have included a second version of the pattern. The second version of the “Take Me Outside” Infinity Scarf is a flat version. This is for those who do not want to work in the round. This pattern is worked flat and you sew the ends together to create your infinity scarf

Supplies you will need:

Yarn: This pattern uses Loops and Threads Charisma bulky weight yarn, (5) I used this beautiful colour way called Sunny Day

It is 100% acrylic.

You will need 5 skeins.

Or

Weight: 16 oz. / 450 g

Yardage: 500 yd. / 450 m approx.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail. Use the yarn tail and a yarn needle to sew the ends together.

I recommend using the mattress stitch as it makes an invisible seam. You can see how to do this on this wonderful tutorial by Edie Eckman over at Creative Bug

Watch the youtube video here.

Using your yarn needle, weave in all the ends.
