Description of my Wonderful Crochet Water Bottle Holder:
This pattern is so beginner friendly. It uses only the double crochet stitch and there is no sewing involved.
I designed the Wonderful Crochet Water Bottle Holder as a colour blocked holder. I love playing with colour and using blocks of colour adds style and makes it special.
This crochet water bottle holder is made from the bottom up with the double crochet stitch. There are simple instructions as to how the base is made and the double crochet stitch is so beginner friendly. It is made in the round so there are no seams to sew up.
There are so many colour combinations you can use that will give it a different feel and vibe. If you are looking for a great gift for friends and family, look no further.
A crochet water bottle holder is so quick and easy to work up with your favourite acrylic of cotton worsted weight yarn. They are popular with those always on the go. As summer approaches you want to ensure you are hydrating regularly and it is a good idea to alway have your water handy. They can also double as phone holders and for your wallet while you are on a hike.
The great thing about this design is that you can make it as tall as you like, and so customize it to meet your needs.

Design Inspiration for my Crochet Water Bottle Holder.
I was inspired to come up with this Crochet Water Bottle Holder Pattern by a need in my community. I have a stall at the Mayne Island Farmer’s Market and last summer I had so many people asking me for water bottle holders that I knew I had to come up with something.
My first crochet water bottle holder pattern was successful and really popular and I sold so many at the market and had lots of happy return customers. You can see some of them in the picture below, along with my Everyday Market Bags. I added a fringe to the bottom of some of the water bottle holders for extra fun.
These holders are also hard wearing and you can use them for both indoors and outdoors. As summer days come we spend more and more time outside at barbecues and outdoor events and having something to carry your bottle around in can be a real life saver.
I have a video tutorial up for the first crochet water bottle holder I designed. If you are a visual learner you might find it helpful. This one is a slightly different style.

The Wonderful Water Bottle Holder is worked in the round and made with the simple double crochet stitch. I use a worsted weight (4) cotton yarn in three colours, and an H hook. You may also use acrylic yarn for this project.
For those new to crochet, there are left and right-handed videos on my Carroway Crochet YouTube channel that demonstrate how to do the double crochet stitch.
The Wonderful Water Bottle Holder Pattern

I call the colours Colour A, B, and C in the pattern instructions.

Laid flat it is 4.5” wide, (12 cm) and 9” tall, (23 cm) including the base flattened out. The sides are approx. 7” tall, (18cm).
Instructions:
This Water Bottle Holder is created in the round.
The chain 2 at the start of a new round does not count as a stitch.

Round 2: Ch 2, Make 2 dc into the first stitch and make 2dc into every stitch around. Join with a slst to the top of the chain 2. (24 dc)
Round 3, Ch2, dc into the first stitch and into each st around. Join with a slst to the top of the ch2. (24 dc)

Change to Colour B
Round 14: Ch2, dc into the first stitch and into each st around. Join with a slst to the top of the ch2. (24dc).
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Strap, 42”-50”
Note: You can make it longer or shorter by chaining more or less to start your strap.
Start with Colour A
Ch 120 for the handle,
Row 1: DC into the 3rd ch from the hook and dc into each chain to the end. Turn work.
Change to Colour B.
Row 2. Ch2, dc into the first stitch and into each st across to the end. Turn work.
Change to Colour C.
Row 3. Ch2, dc into the first stitch and into each st across to the end.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
Attaching the Strap.
Using yarn and a yarn needle you will sew the ends of the strap to the Double Crochet round that forms the top of your water bottle holder.
First pin the strap in place on one side of your bottle holder. Make sure the strap is attached to the inside of your bottle holder.
Sew it securely in place with your yarn needle.
Making sure that the strap is not twisted, pin the other end to the inside of your bottle holder, making sure it is directly opposite the first strap end you attached. Sew it securely as a water bottle can be quite heavy.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
You now have a beautiful and functional Wonderful Water Bottle Holder.
