Description of my Mitten Gift Card Holder:
This Mitten Gift Card Holder is made with the half double crochet stitch and the single crochet stitch for the thumb. It is made in the round in two pieces, the mitten body and the thumb. You need to attach the thumb with a few stitches.
There are so many colour combinations you can use that will give it a different feel and vibe. To keep with the Christmas Festive feel I used red and white, but green and white or any colour you associate with the holiday season would work perfectly. Gift Card Holders make a great gift and they are so quick and easy to whip up.
Design Inspiration for my Mitten Gift Card Holder.
Lots of people opt for gift cards for giving throughout the holiday season. Usually these cards are popped into an envelope along with a Christmas card as a way of presenting them to a friend or family member. Often the cards get set down somewhere and can easily be misplaced during the chaos of the the festivities. Having a brightly coloured gift card holder makes it easier to spot and also you can hang it on the tree for safe keeping if you attach a yarn loop to it. I just think they are such a great idea to have something attractive to present the gift card in and also to make it easier to keep track of.
So I have been brainstorming different ideas fo what kind of a gift card holder I wanted to make and thought I would add this item to the festive design line up. This mini mitten design adds to my Christmas Crochet Collection. You can also check out my Festive Skinny Scarf and my Christmas Tree Garland patterns.
