How to Crochet a Hand Towel.
The Summer’s Day Crochet Hand Towel Pattern
Are you thinking you might try to make a crochet hand towel to go with your Summer’s Day crochet washcloth? You are in the right place. In this post I will take you through the simple steps on how to make this Summer’s day crochet hand towel. This crochet hand towel has been designed using the blanket stitch and is meant to go with the Summer’s Day Washcloth pattern. It is such a great texture and makes a beautiful set for your washroom or kitchen.
This Crochet Hand Towel Pattern is a fun crochet project for a beginner, but its also a great crochet hand towel pattern for those who are more experienced. Hand towels, that can also double as kitchen towels, add a soft and beautiful feel to your home. Their texture is quite different to a terry towel. Also you can make your crochet hand towel in all kinds of colours to create a beautiful matching or contrasting set of towels for your space.
I was inspired to make the Summer’s Day Hand Towel after creating the matching washcloth. One of my subscribers had asked me if I had a matching pattern and I am happy to say it is finished. Just like the Summer’s Day washcloth, you will find that this crochet hand towel is also an easy pattern to make as it has a simple repetitive pattern. Once you have the blanket stitch memorized it is something you can work on while watching your favourite show. Plus, they are useful to have around once they are completed. They also make fabulous gifts.
This is an easy crochet project which will give you sense of accomplishment in an afternoon. Having a quick Crochet Hand Towel project to whip up allows you to mix things up between your larger crochet projects.
The gorgeous texture ot the Summer’s Day hand towels is created by repeating the blanket stitch made by working (1 single crochet and 2 double crochet clusters) across each row. I have detailed instructions below and I also have a video demonstrating the blanket stitch.
